I enjoy watching South Korean music programs, which boasts the foremost entertainment industry in Asia. Among many singers, I particularly admire Ailee, one of the most successful solo artists in South Korea in the modern music scene, thanks to her powerful voice and outstanding dance skills.
As I couldn't watch it live, I could only see her performance through the television with the song I Will Go to You Like the First Snow, the theme song of the drama Goblin, which once became a sensation in Asia. I'm sure this was an amazing performance. Under dim blue lights, with a large screen behind showing iconic scenes from the drama along with falling snow in violet, Ailee stepped out amidst the enthusiastic cheers of thousands of fans below, along with the resounding chants of her name. Ailee flashed a bright smile, revealing her white and even teeth. She wore a black knit sweater hugging her body, underneath was a long red mermaid dress, and she wore about 10 cm high heels. She had a robust figure, not conforming to the Asian beauty standards, but exuding a very Western beauty, as she had lived in the United States for a long time. Her face was meticulously made up, with fair skin, a perfectly V-shaped face, a charming mouth with bright red lipstick, a high and straight nose, delicately arched brown eyebrows, and large round eyes with black makeup, looking very sophisticated. Her short hair reaching her shoulders, slightly brown, was partially brushed behind her ears, revealing special green earrings. The sound of the piano slowly rose, and she raised the microphone to sing the first verses, her voice clear and gentle, resonating, creating a serene environment to appreciate her sweet voice. While singing, her sparkling eyes contained numerous emotions, as this song was about a girl's love confession, and her voice conveyed the sentiment superbly, every word piercing the hearts of the audience. At the climax, she sang with all her heart, with a voice full of inner strength, closing her eyes tightly, her hands stretching out as if to spread her emotions to the audience below, her face looking filled with intoxication, in line with the mood of the girl in the song, who was ecstatic and yearning for her extraordinary love. At the end of the song, amidst the resounding applause of the audience, she placed a hand on her chest, smiled brightly, and bowed to the audience to show her gratitude for this enthusiastic support, then she quickly retreated backstage.
