Air Asia Baggage Size
Air Asia Carry-on Baggage Size Regulations
Air Asia mandates that all passengers (except infants) are allowed to bring one carry-on bag on board with dimensions not exceeding 56cm x 36cm x 23cm. This includes handles, wheels, and side pockets. The bag must fit in the overhead compartment.
Air Asia Carry-on Baggage Size Regulations
Additionally, you may carry a laptop bag, handbag, backpack, or any other small item with dimensions not exceeding 40cm x 30cm x 10cm. This item must fit under the seat in front of you.
Air Asia Checked Baggage Size Regulations
Each piece of checked baggage has a maximum size of 119cm x 119cm x 81cm or Length + Height + Width = 319cm (126 in). The maximum weight per piece is 32kg. Passengers may purchase up to 2 pieces, each not exceeding 20kg.

If you bring 2 bags, each weighing 10kg, both bags will still count as 2 pieces. If you have booked 2 pieces, one bag weighing 25kg and the other 15kg, you will need to transfer 5kg from the 25kg bag to the 15kg bag so that both bags weigh 20kg each.
Excess Baggage on Air Asia Flights
If you pre-booked your baggage online but end up checking in baggage that exceeds the weight limit, you will incur excess baggage fees for each kilogram over the limit. These fees vary depending on your departure airport. Air Asia excess baggage fees can only be paid during airport check-in on the day of departure.
