Connecting your Android device to the computer using a cable is straightforward, but there's an alternative method to establish this connection without using a cable.
Step 1. Download and Install AirDroid
Download the latest version of AirDroid for Android to your device.
Step 2. User Guide
2.1. Registering a New Account
On your computer, open a web browser and enter the IP address displayed on AirDroid on your phone (mine is http://192.168.1.8:8888).
Note: Your Android phone and computer must be on the same network (if not, you can access it via http://web.airdroid.com).
Click on Create an Account to register a new account.
2.2. Log in with an Existing Account
Open AirDroid on your phone and proceed to log in (you can log in using your Google, Facebook, Twitter accounts, etc.). After that, you'll have a dedicated login account information for your Android device.
On both your computer and Android device, log in with the account you created earlier.
2.3. Connect to the Computer.
Once logged in, you've successfully established the connection. A management interface will appear on the computer for you to work with.
2.4. Copy Files.
After a successful connection, a management interface will appear on the computer for you to work with.
To transfer files from your computer to your phone, click on Files and select Upload to choose the file stored on your computer that you want to transfer to your phone.
