 Note: Standard margin regulations for administrative documents (A4 paper) are as follows:

- Top margin: 20 - 25 mm.
- Bottom margin: 20 - 25 mm.
- Left margin: 30 - 35 mm.
- Right margin: 15 - 20 mm.

1. How to Align Margins in Word 2019 - 2016 - 2013

Step 1: Since these 3 versions have similar user interfaces, you can apply the same method for all 3 as follows. Change the measurement unit in Word to centimeters by going to File  >  Options:

Step 2: Navigate to Advanced > Display. Under Show measurements in units of, select Centimeters:

Step 3: Go to Page Layout > Margins > Custom Margins:

Step 4: Enter the desired margin values into the corresponding fields:

2. How to Align Margins in Word 2010 - 2007

Step 1: The interface of Word Office 2010 and 2007 is quite similar, so apply the same procedure for both. Change the measurement unit in Word to centimeters by going to Office Button  > Word Options:

Step 2: Go to Advanced > Display. In the Show measurements in units section, choose Centimeters as the measurement unit:

3. Aligning Margins in Word 2003

Step 1: Change the measurement unit in Word to Centimeters by going to Tool > Options...:
