Amazon and its global Internet coverage plan with Project Kuiper

Amazon's global Internet coverage plan seems on the verge of reality, as it has invested in 9 Atlas V rockets by United Launch Alliance to deploy over 3,200 Internet satellites under Project Kuiper into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) - a low Earth orbit.

Atlas V proves to be a remarkably fitting choice for Amazon. Since its inception, nearly two decades ago, and since 2007, this propulsion system has maintained a perfect success rate of 100%. It's also the same type of rocket that NASA recently utilized for launching Perseverance and OSIRIS-REx missions.

Upon FCC's approval of Project Kuiper, Amazon declared its intention to send half of the satellites into orbit by 2026 and by 07/30/2029, all Internet satellites under this project will be launched into LEO. Initially, Atlas V will support the deployment of Amazon's Project Kuiper in its early stages.
