Located on DT725 road in Ta Nung commune, after crossing Ta Nung pass, look to the right to find Van Duc pagoda. These days, many tourists come to this pagoda because they have successfully planted the triangular buckwheat, a characteristic flower of the remote Northwest region.
According to Venerable Thich Van Tri – the abbot of Van Duc pagoda, during a trip to Ha Giang, he saw the hills covered with buckwheat flowers and found it beautiful, so he brought them back to Da Lat to try planting. He chose the appropriate time for propagation and planted a fairly large flower garden.
The monks at the pagoda said that during the recent Buddha's Birthday celebration, many Buddhists visited the pagoda and captured beautiful images in front of the buckwheat flower garden. Many young people in Da Lat and tourists from other provinces and cities also visit after hearing about this unique flower garden.
