Imagine strolling along the quaint streets of Da Lat, embracing the harmonious blend of the four seasons on this highland, feeling the delicate mist that sends shivers down your spine, only then can one truly appreciate the allure of the radiant golden blooms, akin to fiery embers amidst the winter sky.

Immersing in the golden hues of vintage Daffodils
Few realize when daffodils became an indispensable essence of Dalat's tourism attractions, yet there's an undeniable anticipation shared by those born and raised on this land, especially when the highland enters late autumn, a sky filled with daffodils vie for attention, rejoicing in the wind, whispering the tales of millennia past.

The wild daffodils are truly exceptional, flourishing only in high mountainous regions with harsh climates yet possessing the power to illuminate a corner of the sky. Travelers find it effortless to admire the daffodil hills, as they predominantly grow by the roadside or blanket the rugged slopes, but it's precisely this that draws their intrigue.
Beneath the gentle morning sun, when the dew-kissed flowers sparkle, travelers indulge in an unprecedented freshness unseen in bustling cities, or as night falls, amidst flickering flames, graceful dances, melodic tunes, and amidst the enchanting hues of those flowers, travelers seem to relive a thousand-year-old legendary love hidden within the daffodil forests of Da Lat.
It is the love story of K’Lang and H’Limh, a tale of a valiant warrior and an unparalleled beauty of the region, fate brought them together, igniting love and a promise for centuries.
Yet, fate is capricious, happiness is not complete...

At that time, in the region, La Rihn – the son of the village chief La Siêng, harbored affection for H’Limh, consumed by jealousy towards their steadfast love, he schemed to drive the young couple apart. While K’Lang ventured deep into the forest for hunting, La Rihn found a way to approach and torment him with numerous wounds from poisoned arrows. Upon hearing the grim news, H’Limh resolved to search for K’Lang in the depths of the forest, yet she only managed to embrace her beloved, their eyes filled with affection, anguish over the imminent separation.
Amidst such profound agony, La Rihn also took action against the girl. The young couple reunited in the afterlife, in a world beyond ours, a place serene and perhaps happier. Where the graves of the talented youth and the beautiful maiden sprouted wildflowers, ablaze with the golden hues of impending winter, despite the harsh weather, despite the arid land, they flourished vigorously, as vibrant as the enduring love of the young couple.

Daffodils naturally grace the highland, gently becoming a distinctive feature of the Central Highlands, of Da Lat's flower gardens, where the flower not only symbolizes the enduring love of steadfast couples but also represents the resilience, the strength of the people of the Central Highlands.
Those daffodils are beautiful yet tinged with sorrow, petite yet brimming with vitality, the flower of the present yet echoes of the ancient past. Though fleeting, once bloomed, they shine incredibly bright, illuminating a corner of Da Thanh sky, as a testament to nature's cycle that everything will eventually conclude, flowers will wither but what they leave behind in people's hearts is truly precious.
Elegant Mimosa – A sky of memories

If the classic daffodil is a painting of mountain streets as autumn nears its end, hinting at the melancholy of something coming to a close, then mimosa embodies a graceful beauty, full of defiance against the cold wind of the mountainous winter. Like the wild daffodil, mimosa is a resilient tree, standing tall and strong, neither rightly called a gum tree nor entirely a golden maiden flower.
But like other wild plants, the mimosa forests of Da Lat have an enduring, timeless quality, fading and blooming again in a cyclical rhythm, an essential cycle of the universe, standing there humbly year after year. Mimosa flowers bloom most brilliantly around November, when the land is fully immersed in the cold, in the chill, and seeing those flowers, one feels warmth in their heart.
The elegant mimosa flower, seemingly delicate yet resilient throughout the harsh winter season. Its yellow hue is not flamboyant or dazzling like the daffodil, but gentle, refined, seemingly modest, the hidden charm of tourist destinations in Da Lat.

The mimosa garden in Da Lat is like an embroidered tapestry of a diligent mountain girl, caring, enduring, tirelessly embellishing this city. It's truly special when visiting Da Lat, witnessing such a peculiar flower, the mimosa, with its gum tree-like trunk, small yet sharp leaves, hiding behind bright yellow amidst a corner of the sky, the mimosa flowers from afar appear like hundreds of tiny silk threads clustered together, as if chatting, but up close, they evoke thoughts of delicate dandelions, gently dancing with the breeze, their petals like embroidered golden threads.
Though not steeped in millennia-old legends, just this alone is enough for mimosa to hold a place in people's hearts for generations.
Yellow flowers and the Da Lat sky
The flowers and the Da Lat sky seem to have an uncanny harmony, which flower in which season, which weather, diverse flowers like strokes of a talented artist on the canvas of the sky, the land of Da Lat. No wonder they call Da Lat the 'city of a thousand flowers'.

Only those who set foot in the city during the months of October and November truly witness the vibrant vitality of the golden flowers of the flower villages of Da Lat, despite the chilling mist blanketing everything, despite other plants shedding their leaves, standing tall amidst the winter days when the indifferent winds steal away the life of the landscape, they still proudly stand, bringing warmth with their radiant golden hues.
As the weather grows colder, the yellow flowers shine brighter, as if burning with passion, dedicating themselves to this land. And those distinctive golden hues have created the unique identity of the Da Lat sky and land.
The daffodils herald the melancholic days of late autumn in Da Lat, like cherry blossoms bringing spring, like clusters of deep purple phoenix flowers welcoming summer, or like the elegant golden splendor of resilient mimosa flowers in the winter chill... all these colors form a vibrant Da Lat flower garden, almost surreal.

Just a touch of the radiant yellow from the flower gardens of Da Lat amidst the freezing winter is enough to soothe the soul, to widen the heart, disregarding the bone-chilling cold, the fusion of human and nature, creating a strangely peaceful, enchanting painting, captivating the soul.
Like a lingering embrace, ensnaring the hearts of travelers with an indescribable nostalgia, these hues connect the past to the present, serving as a bridge between ancient legends. Somewhere along the way, these golden shades have become a cherished hallmark of the venerable land of Da Lat, steeped in legend.
