The 22nd Traditional Seven Mountains Buffalo Racing Tournament, competing for the An Giang Television Cup, will officially kick off on the morning of October 4th at the buffalo racing field in Vinh Trung commune, Tinh Bien district, An Giang province.

Originating from the Seven Mountains region (An Giang province), buffalo racing is a sport deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of the Khmer people in the South, taking place during the annual Sen Don-ta festival of the Khmer community (on the 29th, 30th of August, and 1st of September in the lunar calendar). This traditional sport has been organized into the Seven Mountains Buffalo Racing Tournament for the An Giang Television Cup, continuously since 1992.
The organizers announced that this year's buffalo racing tournament will gather 64 pairs of buffaloes from both within and outside the province, competing through a direct elimination format.
