The storyline is set in a futuristic world where technology has completely reshaped society. Humans coexist with HumaGears - robots that closely resemble and function like humans. Twelve years ago, the rogue organization Metsubou Jinrai exploited security loopholes to 'hack' HumaGears, leading them to rebel against humanity. After years of absence, the criminal group's members unexpectedly return with a similar yet more sinister plan.
In that scenario, comedian Aruto Hiden (Fumiya Takahashi) unexpectedly inherits Hiden Intelligence, becoming the conglomerate's CEO following his sudden demise. To counteract the rebellion's schemes and the uprising of the HumaGears, he must find a way to become the 'superhero' Kamen Rider Zero-One, thereby reclaiming peace for humanity.

Yuya Takahashi, a renowned screenwriter who has contributed to the success of numerous Kamen Rider installments, takes on the scripting duties for the series. Therefore, Yuya knows exactly how to innovate while still preserving the brand's essence, without alienating the fanbase.
