Due to social distancing measures and the Work From Home trend, online learning is gaining traction. As a result, the demand for technology devices to support multimedia experiences, particularly tablets, is on the rise
Just when everyone thought the tablet market had cooled down for good under the dominance of tech giants, it's showing signs of resurgence with a slew of exciting new products from Android manufacturers poised to hit the shelves.
What's the state of the tablet market from 2021 up to now?
According to data from Strategy Analytics, tablet manufacturers collectively released 45.2 million units into the market in Q2 2021 alone (a 5% increase compared to the same period last year). Among them, Apple held a 35% market share, equivalent to 15.82 million iPads sold. Apple's growth in Q2 reached 11%.

Apple with iPadOS and top-notch hardware like the M1 chip performing like a laptop, mini-LED ProMotion display, ... consistently earns high praise from industry experts for its smoothness, stability, and superior app compatibility compared to Android tablets.
On the Android front, there's an advantage in terms of pricing and attractive configurations within the budget range. If you're only into web browsing, watching YouTube, and basic reading, you can easily get a tablet for 4-5 million VND at Mytour.
You can get a tablet for just 4-5 million VND at Mytour. While configurations in the 4-5 million VND range may not be overly powerful, for basic needs like online learning, light entertainment for kids, ... the advantage of a large screen and long-lasting battery life in these products is already sufficient.
In terms of hardware specifications, let's take the Xiaomi Pad 5 as an example sold at Mytour with a listed price of 9 million VND, while the upcoming iPad Gen 9 is predicted to be slightly higher, hovering around under 10 million VND for genuine products.
It's evident that the Xiaomi Pad 5 will still have certain advantages in terms of features such as more speakers, a 120 Hz display, long-lasting battery, fast charging,...

One improvement I see manufacturers aiming for is to transform tablets into a laptop-like device for basic needs with Desktop mode, like Samsung's DEX, Xiaomi's Pocket PC, Lenovo's Productivity Mode.
This is also a commendable effort from OEMs, because since Google stopped introducing new features for tablets in 2018, manufacturers haven't been overly enthusiastic about these product lines.
Nevertheless, there are still many brands maintaining tablet lines such as Samsung or Huawei, but they haven't truly stood out.
So what can we expect from the tablet market by the end of 2021?

Conclusion
The Tablet market in late 2021 is indeed vibrant with the resurgence of Android manufacturers who have invested more strongly to bring new, appealing products to users.
