Due to social distancing measures, the Work From Home trend, and the increasing popularity of online learning, users are paying more attention to technology devices. Among these, tablets stand out.
Thought to have long cooled down under the dominance of the 'giants', the tablet market is showing signs of lively resurgence with a slew of new products from Android manufacturers with many enticing offerings set to debut.

Its market share has increased by 2.1% compared to the same period last year thanks to the diverse product range across various segments and the Tab S7 generation featuring numerous enticing new technologies.
Apple with iPadOS and top-of-the-line hardware such as the M1 chip, performance akin to a laptop, mini-LED ProMotion display,... consistently earns high praise from professional circles for its smoothness, stability, and superior app compatibility compared to tablets from Android.
As for Android, it holds an advantage in terms of pricing and attractive configurations within the price range. If your needs are limited to web browsing, watching YouTube, and basic news reading, you can easily purchase a tablet for 4-5 million VND at Mytour.
You can easily purchase a tablet for 4-5 million VND at Mytour. While configurations in the 4-5 million VND range may not be overly powerful, for basic needs such as online learning, light entertainment for children,... the advantages of a large screen and long-lasting battery life of these products are already sufficient.
Regarding specifications, let's take the example of the Xiaomi Pad 5 sold at Mytour with a listed price of 9 million VND, while the upcoming iPad Gen 9 is predicted to have a slightly higher price, ranging above and below 10 million VND for genuine products.
It can be seen that the Xiaomi Pad 5 will still have certain advantages in terms of equipment such as more speakers, a 120 Hz display, long battery life, fast charging,...

One improvement I see manufacturers aiming for is turning tablets into a laptop replacement for basic needs with Desktop mode, such as Samsung's DEX, Xiaomi's Pocket PC, Lenovo's Productivity Mode.
This is also a commendable effort from OEMs, as since Google ceased introducing new features for tablets in 2018, manufacturers have not been as enthusiastic about these product lines.
However, there are still many brands maintaining tablet lineups like Samsung or Huawei, but they have yet to truly stand out.
So, what can we expect from the tablet market by the end of 2021?

Final Thoughts
The Tablet market in late 2021 is indeed vibrant with the resurgence of Android manufacturers, who have invested more heavily to bring new and enticing products to users.
I expect Android tablets to receive more meticulous software investment, optimizing the display size of applications on a large screen, multitasking with multiple windows, for instance, rather than just being an enlarged phone.
