After watching the event, there are undoubtedly positive changes, but there's still a lack of long-awaited elements. Today, let's explore the features that users have been eagerly expecting on iPhone 15.
Features Expected but Absent on iPhone 15 (Image: Duy Luân)ProMotion 120Hz Display
Apple has been using a 60Hz display for too long on non-Pro iPhones. While the user experience is excellent, it could be even smoother with a ProMotion 120Hz display or a step-up to 90Hz.
From a customer's psychological perspective, at the given price point, there's a sense of disappointment for what they receive. It feels like a standstill, and users deserve an upgrade in screen technology or better hardware.
What if the iPhone 15 had a 120Hz display? Smoother, more responsive swiping (Image: Duy Luân)This has long been an expectation since the Series era, but it might take even longer to become a reality. Perhaps it's due to the differentiation between the Pro and non-Pro lines?
Always On Display
Both the iPhone 15 and have undergone comprehensive upgrades, including Dynamic Island and a brightness boost up to 2,000 nits. While impressive and sufficient for personal use, users still hope for Apple to bring Always On Display technology to standard iPhones.
Always On Display allows users to visually access various information, notifications, and weather updates without unlocking their phones. This feature can transform the iPhone into a bedside clock during the night.

However, only the Pro and Pro Max models are equipped with this technology. Similar to the Promotion 120Hz display, it might take 2 or 3 more iPhone generations for us to have it across the board.
Action Button
Only and are equipped with the Action Button. iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus continue to use the silent mode toggle switch. Previous leaks hinted at the Action Button on the iPhone 15 Series, creating anticipation among users.
Indeed, the Action Button provides users with added flexibility and convenience by incorporating multiple functions into this button. Unfortunately, this feature is exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.

Face ID has performed admirably in securing users' phones, but it would be even better to reintegrate the fingerprint sensor as before. Instead of bringing back the home button, integrate it within the display.
Having the in-display fingerprint sensor would offer users a more convenient, faster, and versatile method. Not every user has an Apple Watch for unlocking, especially when wearing a mask or not always ready to reveal their face.
This technology is not new, as many devices in the same and lower price segments have already been equipped with it.

If not within the screen, integrate it into the power button, Apple! Some iPad models like Gen 10, iPad Air 4, Air 5, and Pro series with Apple Silicone chips have a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, which is genuinely convenient with its slim, bar-shaped design for unlocking.
Optical Zoom Camera
Watching the event, I noticed that both the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have upgraded the main sensor to 48MP and support optical zoom from 2X to 4X. Adding telephoto capabilities enhances the photography experience for users.
It's not the first time users hope for the return of a telephoto sensor on standard or 'Plus' iPhones (first seen on the Series until the Series) because many users, including myself, desire better telephoto image quality comparable to products in the same price range.

Perhaps we'll have to wait for a few more generations to get all of the above. Despite not meeting all user expectations, the iPhone 15 has positive changes that optimize the user experience.
Regarding pricing, the iPhone 15 is priced at 22,999,000 VND in the Vietnamese market (price on Apple.com), with the product expected to be available from September 29. What are your thoughts on the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Series? Let us know in the comments below.
