POCO M6s concept featuring a square, elegant design

It's quite regrettable that, at the time of writing, no relevant concept images of the POCO M6s have been found. Therefore, in this article, we will use the POCO M6 Pro concept video from the YouTube channel Tech Hunger for illustration and expectations.

The reason for this choice is my personal preference for the design showcased in the video. Specifically, the device features a square and sleek design, currently a trend in the smartphone market. Combined with glossy metal edges, the product looks beautiful and elegant. The camera design is also neat and harmonious. Therefore, I have chosen and expect that the POCO M6s will have a similar design aesthetic.

POCO M6s well-equipped with Snapdragon 695 5G chip

According to information from Specs Tech, the POCO M6s will be equipped with the Snapdragon 695 5G chip. This is an octa-core processor with a 64-bit architecture, consisting of two Kryo 660 Gold CPU cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, six Kryo 660 Silver cores clocked at 1.7 GHz, combined with the Qualcomm Adreno 619 GPU.

Therefore, I expect the POCO M6s to live up to the rumored power from the Snapdragon 695 5G processor. Additionally, the device will come with 8 GB of RAM, with support for expanding virtual RAM by an additional 4 GB. This provides users with a smoother multitasking experience. The POCO M6s will also offer internal storage options of 128 GB and 256 GB, meeting storage needs and expandable via a micro SD card for those with higher demands.

With these specifications, the POCO M6s promises to efficiently handle user tasks from basic to advanced. The device also features the latest 5G connectivity for fast connection speeds and compatibility with various upcoming applications.

POCO M6s 5,000 mAh battery for long-lasting usage

To power the POCO M6s, I expect the device to be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery. This capacity is quite common in this segment, allowing the device to operate throughout the day or longer, depending on the tasks. Additionally, the battery helps maintain a slim and lightweight design for the device.

Additionally, I hope that the POCO M6s will feature 45W fast charging technology, allowing the device to quickly charge its battery. Users won't have to wait too long to get back to their unfinished tasks.

As for the display, the specifications of the predecessor POCO M5s were highly regarded. Therefore, I expect the POCO M6s to inherit these features. Specifically, the POCO M6s will have a 6.48-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) and a maximum brightness of 1,100 nits.

An anticipated upgrade to the POCO M6s display is the screen refresh rate, possibly 90 Hz, or if it's 120 Hz, that would be even better, though the latter seems less likely.

POCO M6s main camera with 64 MP promises excellent photo quality

POCO M5s before had an impressive camera system in its segment, specifically: 

• Wide-angle Camera: 64 MP, f/1.8, PDAF.
• Ultra-wide Camera: 8 MP, f/2.2, 118˚.
• Depth Sensor: 2 MP, f/2.4.
• Macro Camera: 2 MP, f/2.4.

With POCO M6s, I expect the device to inherit this sensor system without significant upgrades to keep the device's cost reasonable. Instead, I hope the company will improve and optimize the software processing capabilities to deliver not only sharp but also visually stunning, vibrant, and lively photos. 

How much will POCO M6s cost? When will POCO M6s be launched?

With the hardware upgrades and improvements I anticipated, the price of POCO M6s could start from 5.99 million VND. The expected launch timeframe is around September 2023, similar to its predecessor.
