Apple decides to skip October event; iPad Air introduced via press release

In the latest episode of The MacRumors Show podcast, Gurman stated that Apple won't unveil any new models at the upcoming 'Wonderlust' event next week. Instead, the company is expected to focus solely on and the next generation.

Gurman suggests that a new ‌iPad Air‌ model with improved specifications is in development and this device seems to be 'on the verge of release.' He further adds that 'we might get a new iPad in October.'

Previously, Apple held an event in October to unveil new products. However, Gurman notes that the company won't host a new event next month due to the lack of new products and features to introduce to users. Hence, the next-generation iPad Air could be unveiled via press release, similar to what the company did with the Pro and M2 Max earlier this year.

Yesterday, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that Apple won't unveil any new models equipped with the M3 chip by the end of this year. However, there's a possibility that an M3 model will emerge next month. Let's wait and see!
