Mark Gurman of Bloomberg was the first to suggest in 2021 that Apple is developing a new HomePod with a screen. Earlier this year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed Apple plans to release a redesigned HomePod with a 7-inch screen in the first half of 2024.
According to Gurman, in the long term, Apple is reportedly reevaluating its smart home strategy and exploring a device combining Apple TV and HomePod, as well as a HomePod with a screen mounted on an arm.
