According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is contemplating adding Face ID feature to its upcoming iMac, which could very well be one of the exciting additions to the screen of the iMac M1.

Mark Gurman has confirmed this information in the Bloomberg Power On newsletter. Specifically, the article reveals that the Face ID display capability was originally present inside the iMac M1 but not in the MacBook. Since the iMac is a thick screen with integration potential, unlike the relatively thin MacBook screen.

However, Apple did not introduce this feature on iMac products last year. Therefore, Gurman suggests not expecting this Face ID feature to appear soon on MacBook, and it's highly possible that a screen supporting this Face ID feature will be introduced in the future.
Currently, Apple is rumored to be developing a new computer monitor with integrated processors. Thus, there may soon be a 27-inch iMac released this year, possibly a new iMac Pro.
Excited about the prospect of Face ID coming to iMac, aren't you?
