In 2021, Apple announced that they had acquired the classical music streaming service Primephonic and would be integrating it into Apple Music through a new app dedicated to this genre. According to a new report, 'Apple Music Classical' is now available on the App Store and is scheduled to be released on March 28, 2023. Users can pre-order the app now to download it as soon as it becomes available.

Apple informed TechCrunch that the new Apple Music Classical app provides Apple Music subscribers access to over 5 million classical music tracks, including high-quality new releases, alongside hundreds of curated playlists, thousands of exclusive albums, and features such as composer biographies and in-depth insights into major works.
This app offers a simpler interface for interacting with classical music. Unlike the current Apple Music app, Apple Music Classical allows users to search by composer, work, conductor, and more. Users can get more detailed information from notes and descriptions.

Apple has commissioned high-resolution digital portraits of renowned composers such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, and Johann Sebastian Bach to integrate into the new app. The company also stated that they have collaborated with classical music organizations and artists to provide exclusive content and recordings.
It's known that Apple Music Classical will only support iOS devices running version .4 or later upon release.
