With a direct App Store for the device, iOS App Store apps will soon list compatibility with Vision Pro.
Apple introduces app store for Vision ProDevelopers can now release apps for Apple's first augmented reality glasses, which will also appear in the Vision Pro App Store. Users have not yet experienced Vision Pro, but reviewers will soon have the device in hand and will soon try out third-party apps created for augmented reality glasses.
VisionOS App Store will contain both apps specially designed to leverage the capabilities of Vision Pro as well as iOS apps that can run on the device in 2D mode. Existing apps are being transitioned to be compatible with Vision Pro without any action required from developers. Additionally, developers can choose not to allow their apps to appear.
Apple will meet with selected media starting today to provide review units. Reviews of Vision Pro are expected to appear online by the end of January, giving reviewers ample time to test the apps.
Pre-orders for Vision Pro will commence this Friday at 5 AM Pacific Time and it's likely to be a 'sell-out'. Let's stay tuned!
