Following the release of .1 to introduce a plethora of new features to users, Apple has now stopped signing iOS 17.0.3. This means that iPhone users upgrading to the latest iOS version can no longer downgrade to iOS 17.0.3.
Downgrading an iPhone to iOS 17.0.3 is no longer feasible.According to Macrumors, this move by Apple is not particularly surprising as the company typically stops signing older iOS versions a few weeks after releasing a new iOS update. This action is viewed as part of Apple's efforts to assist users in updating to the latest features and ensuring device security.
Moreover, in recent years, there have been few reasons for users to downgrade to older iOS versions, especially since they often update iOS directly via OTA rather than through iTunes. Previously, most users would downgrade iOS to perform jailbreaks.
Currently, the latest official iOS version is iOS 17.1. Additionally, Apple is also testing the initial betas of iOS 17.2 before officially releasing it to users in the near future.
