Apple plans to discontinue the production of 12.9-inch iPad Pro featuring Mini-LED display next year

The report indicates, 'The estimated shipment of Mini-LED laptops is projected to decrease by around 39% compared to the same period last year. Additionally, with the expected cessation of production for the 12.9-inch Pro in 2024, the output of Mini-LED is forecasted to decrease by approximately 15.6% compared to the same period last year.'

In December 2022, analyst Ross Young was the first to report that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro would be replaced by a larger 13-inch model featuring an OLED display. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman also anticipates the introduction of new iPad Pro models, 11-inch and 13-inch, equipped with OLED screens, M3 chip, and aluminum Magic Keyboard next year.

Technology iPad Pro models introduced since 2017 support ProMotion, allowing the refresh rate to vary from 24Hz to 120Hz. Transitioning to OLED might further enable a reduced refresh rate to 10Hz or lower, enhancing power efficiency. Stay tuned for more updates!
