After introducing OLED displays on both models next year, Apple is reportedly planning to adopt this technology by 2026. While the Air will maintain a 10.9-inch display, the size of the iPad mini will increase from 8.3 inches to 8.7 inches. In 2027, Apple will bring OLED display technology to the rumored 12.9-inch iPad Air, expected to debut with an LCD screen the following year.

In 2027, Apple will upgrade the OLED displays of the iPad Pro lineup to the next-generation panels with improved light performance through Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE), which is expected to reduce power consumption by about 20%.
In 2025, expect the 'Apple Guru' to incorporate OLED displays for the MacBook Pro 16-inch, followed by the 14-inch model in 2026. Both the MacBook Air 13 and 15-inch versions will also transition from LCD to OLED screens by 2026.
OLED screens are renowned for their enhanced brightness, higher contrast ratio, superior color accuracy, and lower power consumption compared to LCD displays. Apple has embraced OLED for its iPhones and Apple Watch, excluding certain models. Reports emphasize that OLED panels are not only thinner and lighter than LCDs but also bring distinct advantages to the iPad.
