Recent rumors suggest that Apple is planning to release 5 different models of Mac computers next year, including updated iMacs, new Mac Minis, redesigned MacBook Air, and two versions of MacBook Pro. These devices are said to feature the Apple Silicon M2 chip.
Mark Gurman recently provided fresh insights into Apple's 2022 Mac lineup. According to Gurman, Apple will unveil up to 5 new Mac models next year, all equipped with Apple M2 and M1X chips.
Last year, Apple made the transition to using Apple M1 chips in its Mac computers, replacing Intel chips. However, Apple continued to sell Intel-based models like the iMac 2020. The arrival of devices featuring the new M2 chip could signify a significant breakthrough and direct competition with Intel hardware.
Gurman also reveals that Apple plans to release two different models of MacBook Pro. The top-tier model may feature a powerful M1X processor, while the lower-end model will be equipped with either an M2 chip or a variant of it.
