Apple releases a new firmware update for AirPods Pro 2, addressing issues and enhancing performance

The latest software update from Apple for AirPods Pro 2 appears to focus mainly on fixing lingering issues and improving the performance of these earphones.

Today, Apple has rolled out a fresh firmware update for both the Lightning and USB-C charging case versions of AirPods Pro 2. The new firmware comes with version 6B34, upgrading from the 6B32 software introduced in November.

Apple releases new firmware for AirPods Pro 2

Apple does not provide detailed information about the features introduced in the software update for its AirPods lineup. Therefore, it remains unclear whether the new firmware for AirPods Pro 2 brings any new features. Most likely, this is an update addressing lingering issues and enhancing device performance.

In addition, Apple does not offer customers instructions on how to upgrade AirPods software. However, firmware is usually installed over the network while ‌‌AirPods‌‌ are connected to an iOS device. Simply place your headphones in the charging case, plug in, and connect to an iOS or Mac device; the update will automatically download and install.

You can check the firmware of your ‌‌‌AirPods‌‌ by following these steps:

Connect your ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌AirPods Pro‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ to your iOS device.
Open the Settings app.
Tap on General.
Tap on About.
Tap on ‌‌‌‌‌AirPods‌‌‌‌‌.
Look at the number next to 'Firmware Version'.
