New features in iOS 11.4 beta 5 include Messages on iCloud and AirPlay 2, both of which are present in iOS 11 and continue to be integrated into new updates. Apple states that iOS 11 updates will be released to users at some point, with the final update likely coming soon.
In addition, beta 5 updates also address some known issues related to Foundation, Vision, and Xcode.
macOS 10.13.5 High Sierra beta 5 adds a new 64-bit testing mode, preventing 32-bit processes from launching. This is because future OS updates, possibly 10.14, may no longer support 32-bit applications. Furthermore, issues including Foundation and others related to Messages that may cause devices to become unresponsive during startup have been fixed.
The watchOS 4.3.1 beta 5 update has almost no notable new features. tvOS 11.4 beta 5 addresses a known issue related to Foundation.
Apple's annual WWDC 2018 event is just a few weeks away, where the tech giant will unveil its next major updates including iOS 12, macOS 10.14, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12. Beta releases for developers will follow shortly thereafter and will be available to all users at some point.
