Apple has officially launched iOS 17.1.2Currently, users can download iOS 17.1.2 and iPadOS 17.1.2 wirelessly on eligible iPhones and iPads by accessing the Settings menu.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 17.1.2 includes critical security fixes. Specifically, the update addresses vulnerabilities that may have been exploited in previous iOS versions.
“Handling web content may expose sensitive information. Apple is aware of a report indicating that this issue may have been exploited in versions prior to iOS 16.7.1. Handling web content can lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple is aware of a report indicating that this issue may have been exploited in versions prior to iOS 16.7.1.”
Apple is currently developing a major iOS 17.2 update expected to be released this December. It includes the Journal app, changes to the Apple TV app, new Weather widget, and more.
