Apple unveils latest firmware for Magic KeyboardThis new firmware is now available for various models of Magic Keyboard designed for Mac, including the standard Magic Keyboard, Magic Keyboard with numeric keypad, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, and Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and numeric keypad.
This new software will be automatically installed when the keyboard is paired with a device running macOS, iOS, iPadOS, or tvOS, with no way to manually install it. To check the firmware version of your Magic Keyboard on a Mac, open System Preferences, click on Bluetooth, and select the information button next to your keyboard.
According to 'AppleInsider', the update details are as follows:
“Available for: Magic Keyboard; Magic Keyboard (2021); Magic Keyboard with numeric keypad; Magic Keyboard with Touch ID; Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and numeric keypad. Impact: An attacker with physical access to the accessory may extract the Bluetooth pairing key of the accessory and monitor Bluetooth traffic.
