It's known that watchOS 10.1.1 comes two weeks after Apple introduced watchOS 10.1, an update that supports Double Tap and NameDrop features.

Software Update. To install new software, your Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery and must be placed on the charger.
Today's update addresses the issue of some Apple Watch models draining battery faster than expected. Complaints about Apple Watch battery started surfacing after Apple released watchOS 10.1, and the company acknowledged the issue. Apple also promised to soon address the battery drain issue on Apple Watch with a future software update, and they have now delivered on that promise. Apple's release notes for the update state:
“watchOS 10.1.1 provides important bug fixes and resolves issues that may cause Apple Watch battery to deplete faster for some users.”
Apple is currently testing watchOS 10.2, an update expected to be released alongside iOS 17.2 in December.
