Rumors suggest that Apple's AR/VR glasses will come in 6 colors, according to a preliminary leak shared by Twitter account @billbil_kun.
This individual previously shared accurate technical specifications for Samsung's Galaxy S23 Ultra before its official announcement earlier this year.
Apple is set to unveil its first AR glasses at WWDC 2023In a blog post today on the French Dealabs website, discovered by iPhoneAddict, @billbil_kun claimed that Apple's first mixed reality AR glasses will be available in black, blue, gray, green, pink, and an undisclosed sixth color. The source also asserts that the product will have at least two storage options, including 128GB and 256GB.
According to Macrumors, many are skeptical about the authenticity of this rumor for several reasons. First, 6 colors and at least 2 storage capacities would result in a minimum of 12 product SKUs, which seems unusually high for a presumed premium AR glasses product with an expected price of around $3,000.
Secondly, it's unclear whether Apple will provide both 128GB and 256GB storage options as there might be a negligible price difference between the capacities. Thirdly, @billbil_kun seems to lack any track record with Apple rumors, despite having some accurate leaks about Samsung and gaming.
A possibility that could lend some credibility to the rumor is that the color options will be for the head strap, possibly interchangeable like the ear cushions on AirPods Max. Let's wait and see!
