Apple has indicated that the Vision Pro primarily operates at a refresh rate of 90Hz. However, during the online WWDC session, the company revealed its capability to switch to 96Hz to support video content recorded at 24 frames per second.
Apple's Vision Pro supports refresh rates up to 100HzA recent discovery confirms that the actual maximum refresh rate of the Vision Pro is 100Hz. However, this is a mode activated solely to compensate for the detected 50Hz flicker frequency from artificial light.
It is anticipated that this VR headset will have the ability to switch between 90Hz, 96Hz, and 100Hz modes. However, predominantly, it will operate at a frequency of 90Hz. In 'Travel Mode,' a setting that can be enabled when using the VR headset while in motion, such as during a flight, 90Hz is the maximum frequency.
It's known that the Vision Pro utilizes custom micro-OLED panels with a total of 23 million pixels, surpassing the pixel count of a 4K TV per eye. This product is slated for release next year.
