Early this morning (16/5), Apple unexpectedly rolled out the “Release Candidate” (RC) 2 version of iOS/iPadOS 16.5 for developers to address lingering issues.
It's worth noting that iOS/iPadOS 16.5 RC 2 arrives just 5 days after Apple released RC 1 of this operating system.
iOS 16.5 RC has been deployedAccording to Macrumors, the iOS/iPadOS 16.5 RC 2 update is currently only available for developers. If you're enrolled in Apple's developer preview program, iOS/iPadOS 16.5 RC 2 will appear in the software update section. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until the public release to be granted permission to update.
Apple has not disclosed what new features they bring to this beta version. Most likely, it seems to focus on addressing remaining issues.
