1. Apple TV App Now Available on 2019 LG TVs
As promised, Apple TV Plus streaming service and iTunes app have officially arrived on the webOS platform.
As pledged, LG has officially rolled out the Apple TV app on its 2019 lineup of LG TVs, as per the latest press release issued today.

LG's 2019 TV models have previously supported AirPlay 2 and HomeKit standards for seamless wireless connectivity to Apple devices. The company also unveiled a range of new TV models at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 held last month, all of which come pre-installed with the Apple TV app. Furthermore, the 2018 TV models will also soon receive Apple app support later this year.
This update eliminates the need for users to purchase a separate Apple TV 4K device to access Apple TV Plus or buy movies on iTunes anymore, except if you wish to access the App Store apps on tvOS. For instance, games on Apple Arcade service won't be accessible without dedicated Apple TV hardware.
Moreover, this move also positions Apple (technically) as an app developer for the webOS operating system running on LG Smart TVs, prompting us to rethink the future of this operating system.
