This is the successor to the discontinued full-sized HomePod introduced two years ago.

According to Apple, the 2023 HomePod boasts an aesthetically pleasing design, blending seamlessly with any room thanks to its seamless fabric mesh and a touch surface with backlighting that shines from edge to edge. The smart speaker comes in two color options - white and midnight, both made from 100% recycled fabric mesh and accompanied by a matching power cable.

In terms of technical specifications, the new HomePod has 5 tweeters, a reduction from the previous generation's 7 tweeters. It is equipped with the S7 chip, an upgrade from the original HomePod's A8 chip and the HomePod mini's S5 chip.
The new HomePod supports spatial audio as a standalone speaker or as a stereo pair, and, of course, it comes with Siri support. Like its predecessor, Apple's new smart speaker will support stereo pairing and multi-room AirPlay for use with devices such as the Apple TV 4K.

HomePod 2023 inherits the fantastic handoff feature from the HomePod mini, utilizing UWB. Simply holding your device allows you to 'turn off' music and continue playback on the HomePod.

Apple's new smart speaker also has sound recognition capabilities, capable of detecting smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and sending direct alerts to the user's phone. It also features a new integrated temperature and humidity sensor to help control your smart home.
Currently available for pre-order, the new HomePod is set to hit shelves on February 3rd with a price tag of $299 (approximately 7 million VND).
