Alongside iOS 17, Apple also introduces iPadOS 17, the next major update for the iPad.
The new version significantly enhances Stage Manager and adds customization options for the lock screen and widgets on the home screen.
Stage Manager Gets an UpgradeStage Manager, a feature introduced last year with iPadOS 16, allows iPad users to open multiple app windows simultaneously. It also enables iPad to function with an external monitor like a computer. With iPadOS 17, Apple is leveraging the capabilities of Stage Manager even further.
Customizable Lock ScreenCustomization capability for the lock screen has been added to iPhone with iOS 16, now available on iPad with iPadOS 17. Users can now create multiple lock screens with different wallpapers, widgets, and font styles.
Health app on iPadOS 17For years, the Health app has only been available on iPhone. With iPadOS 17, iPad users will be able to check their health data without needing a phone. The app has been redesigned to take advantage of the larger screen of the iPad and it receives all health data stored on the iPhone through iCloud.
iPadOS 17Some new features added in iOS 17 are also part of iPadOS 17, such as the new Magazine app and updates to Find My.
