In a research note shared with MacRumors, analysts mentioned that Apple's decision not to introduce a new iPhone SE next year also indicates a delay in the debut of their in-house 5G modem. Previous sources suggested that 'The Orchard' has been developing a 5G modem since 2018 and acquired a significant portion of Intel's modem business operations in 2019.

In April, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from TF International Securities stated that Apple's mass production of modems will commence no earlier than 2025, indicating that even the iPhone 16 models launched late next year will continue using Qualcomm modems.
Kuo previously declared that the next iPhone SE will feature a design similar to the standard model released last year. This suggests that 'The Orchard's' new affordable iPhone model will be equipped with a 6.1-inch OLED display and Face ID.
The current iPhone SE, launched in March 2022, boasts a 4.7-inch LCD display, Touch ID, 5G connectivity, a 12-megapixel camera, and the powerful A15 Bionic chip. Priced at $429 in the US, it stands as one of Apple's most affordable iPhone models available.
