1. Important Notes for Applying for an Australian Tourist Visa Independently
The Australian Visa comes in two types: Single Entry Visa (allowing a one-time entry with a visa validity of 3, 6, 12 months, and a maximum stay of 30 days per entry) and Multiple Entry Visa (allowing multiple entries with a visa validity from 1 to 3 years, and a maximum stay of 3 months per entry). The application fee is 140 AUD.
The visa's validity and the duration of stay for each entry to Australia depend on the decision of the Australian Department of Home Affairs. This information will be clearly stated in the Australian Visa.
The Australian Visa is a digital document. If you apply for the Australian Visa online, you will receive a soft copy. In this case, you print it out and attach it to your passport.
Similar to applying for an Australian visa offline, it's advisable to apply for an Australian visa online at least 1 month before your planned travel date. The processing time for results varies depending on the documentation and timing. Typically, it takes about 2 weeks to receive the outcome, but in some cases, results may be obtained as quickly as 3 days. However, there are instances where it may take up to a month.
The payment fees, including the Visa fee of 140 AUD and the biometric fee of 478k, sum up to approximately 3 million VND for an Australian Visa application.
Additionally, you'll need to exchange Vietnamese currency for Australian dollars for a convenient trip. You can refer to the article Exchanging Australian Dollars to Vietnamese Currency or How much is 1 AUD in Vietnamese currency to accurately convert.
