It's not the first time characters in Genshin Impact have been noted for their striking resemblance to famous anime characters in both appearance and personality.
Lyney, The Wizard of Phantasmagoria and Lynette, The Elegance of Shadows are the two new characters from the popular video game Genshin Impact introduced in Version 4.0 released globally on August 16.

Recently, these two characters have been accused of being 'copies' of other characters in a famous animated series. According to critics, the new characters in Genshin Impact bear a striking resemblance to Ange le Carré and Charlotte from the Princess Primary series. The show aired back in mid-2017, long before Genshin Impact was launched.
Fans have even prepared images to highlight the similarities between the characters.
First up, let's examine the case of Charlotte and Lynette. From the design of their dresses, hairstyles, to the trim on their outfits, they are strikingly similar.

Next up is the comparison between Ange and Lyney, from their hairstyles to the hats they wear, as well as their gestures and demeanor, are pointed out to be similar.

The similarity between the characters is undeniable. But what truly happened here remains unclear. However, Internet users have pointed out that the striking similarities between the girls raise questions.
Previously, since the release of Genshin Impact, the gaming community has noticed numerous similarities between the game's characters and those in several popular anime series.
For example, upon the debut of the healer girl Jean, many compared Jean to Saber from the Fate series because they look exactly alike. Or Fujiwara Chika resembles Kokomi like non-blood-related twin sisters. Then there are many similarities between Diluc from Genshin Impact and Brian Roscoe from Gosick. Both have fiery red hair, a cold personality, and pull off super cool action scenes.
