Following a heated argument with his girlfriend, a South Korean man, consumed by anger and lacking a constructive outlet, took unimaginable action by damaging her luxury handbag. To his dismay, his girlfriend responded by taking legal action against him.
It's true that men attempting to negotiate with their girlfriends, regardless of the reason, often yield unfavorable results.
This South Korean man has now been ordered by the court to compensate his ex-girlfriend for damaging her designer handbag.
The incident occurred in October 2021, when a young man in Seoul (South Korea) argued with his girlfriend at her home in Gangnam. The reason for the dispute was her extravagant spending, even borrowing money to indulge. Frustrated by what he deemed her wrongdoing and defiance, he stormed into her private room, grabbed her Louis Vuitton bag, and... 'lightly' damaged it.

Of course, his girlfriend was not pleased with this turn of events, so she filed a complaint with the police.
According to South Korean news outlets, initially, the man in question denied his partner's accusations, claiming to authorities that he merely pretended to use the restroom in the bag to scare his girlfriend, insisting he never actually did it. However, Korean investigators were skeptical and sought the expertise of experts from the National Institute of Forensic Science to analyze the liquid sample inside the LV bag.
The results were conclusive: Despite the man's attempt to conceal the offense by adding odor-neutralizing solution to the bag, the sample still indicated liquid waste, matching his DNA profile. With such compelling evidence, he had no alternative but to admit his guilt.

At this point, his girlfriend took further action by suing him in court. Judge Park Hye-rim at the Central District Court in Seoul recently ordered him to compensate his ex-girlfriend with 1.5 million won (approximately 27 million dong) for damaging someone else's property. This lenient sentence was due to it being his first offense; otherwise, the penalty would have been more severe.
Regardless, South Korean netizens also wonder why the aforementioned man believed that 'lightly' defecating into his partner's luxury bag would deter her from extravagant behavior.
