The Silver Queen ship carrying 999 VinFast VF8 cars for the US market has docked at California port after more than 20 days of travel.

According to the latest update on Marine Traffic, the Silver Queen ship carrying 999 VinFast VF 8 has officially arrived at San Francisco Port (California, USA).
Prior to this, the ship made its first stop in Hong Kong on November 28th. After refueling, it continued its journey on November 29th, without any further stops, crossing the Pacific Ocean directly to the USA.

On the morning of November 25th, at MPC Port within the Đình Vũ – Cát Hải Economic Zone (Hai Phong City), Vingroup Corporation ceremoniously held the export ceremony for the first batch of intelligent electric cars, consisting of 999 VinFast VF8 vehicles, to the international market.
According to VinFast, this is the first batch of cars out of 65,000 orders for VinFast VF8 and VF9 electric cars worldwide. Following the U.S. market, VinFast will export the next batches of VF8 cars to Canada and Europe to deliver to customers in 2023.

It is known that this first batch of goods was transported by the privately chartered ship Silver Queen flying the flag of Panama. This is a specialized cargo ship capable of carrying up to approximately 4,500 SUV-sized cars along with some minibusses.
Prior to boarding the ship, all VF8 vehicles were wrapped in protective nylon at various locations such as the hood, roof, and around the edges of the car... Various areas were fitted with foam to protect the vehicles. As planned, the ship will dock in California, USA. Here, VinFast has also established a showroom and store system to be ready to showcase and sell cars.
This event marks a significant milestone for the Vietnamese automotive industry as, for the first time, domestically developed and produced automotive technology products are officially entering the global market, eagerly awaited by consumers worldwide.
