The Hanoi Memories event, organized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism to welcome the new year of 2016, was held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel from December 30, 2015, to January 4, 2016. Here, the organizers recreated the atmosphere of old Hanoi with craft villages, trade streets, and daily activities such as tea-making, hairdressing, beer-drinking, tea-drinking, or making toy figurines. Additionally, models of the Quan Chuong Gate, Khuê Văn Pavilion, and flower stalls were also reconstructed. Alongside the exhibitions, there were folk games and cultural and artistic activities.
