Officially marking its 'goodbye' on the calendar, Dragalia Lost developers strive to deliver the best gaming experience for players in this parting journey.
Announced in April 2018, Dragalia Lost immediately captured the attention of the gaming community. A collaboration between Nintendo and Cygames, two giants in the electronic gaming industry from the land of the rising sun. While Nintendo globally shines with products like Zelda, Pokémon, and notably Mario, Cygames boasts the renowned title Granblue Fantasy.

From its announcement, Dragalia Lost was considered a pivotal project for Nintendo. Therefore, it's no surprise that the game achieved tremendous success in September 2018. According to Sensor Tower, Dragalia Lost raked in a staggering $3 million (over 70 billion VND) in its first month.
In Dragalia Lost, players step into the shoes of a young prince on a quest to find mythical dragons, forming bonds to become stronger and thwart threats from demon armies attempting to invade their kingdom. Players can assemble a team with hundreds of other characters, progressing through tasks and defeating formidable bosses.

After the game's update on March 31, 2022, developers surprised players with the announcement that the latest update is the game's grand finale. Following this, Dragalia Lost will no longer receive significant updates beyond minor fixes. The main storyline will officially conclude in July. Additionally, they left fans in awe by declaring the game's closure, stating that it has reached the end of its life cycle. Despite this, they will maintain in-game activities until the server shutdown.

While the closure of Dragalia Lost may come as a surprise to many, industry experts in the gaming world are not astonished. So far, only Fire Emblem Heroes and Pokémon GO are deemed successful; others like Mario Kart Tour or Super Mario Run have only achieved acceptable revenue. As for Dragalia Lost, despite earning $146 million (approximately over 3,400 billion VND) and 3.9 million downloads in two years, it is considered only 'okay.'

Nevertheless, the developers of Dragalia Lost express profound gratitude to their fans. Recently, they've decided to generously gift all premium materials to players. From these materials, players can craft high-end weapons such as Core, Agito, or Primal Dragon. With these resources, completing endgame missions becomes significantly easier.
It can be said that, even though the game has reached the end of its life cycle, Dragalia Lost still carries a beautiful gesture for its devoted fans. They also hope that Dragalia Lost enthusiasts will have the most delightful experiences before bidding farewell to the game after its five-year run.
