'This was truly an unforgettable journey for me. Spending 10 days roaming in the Land Cruiser with wild dining experiences truly allowed me to embrace the spirit of real-world animal adventurers.' – Hà Linh shared.
Astounded by the 10-day exploration journey in Kenya – Africa, filled with extraordinary experiences: A must for any avid explorer!
When mentioning Kenya, many people would think of a distant African country with scorching climates and mostly desert terrain. However, in reality, this country is vastly different from your imagination! Not only is it a paradise for wildlife, but Kenya is also a fantastic destination for adventurous travelers seeking unique experiences and discoveries.
Recently, images of the journey to Kenya by a group from Hanoi were shared on social media and quickly grabbed the attention of many. The 10-day trip left many unforgettable experiences for the group of 7 friends. Upon returning, 31-year-old Hà Linh – the owner of a series of beautiful photos taken in Kenya – shared a lot of useful information for those intending to visit this African country.
If you're considering conquering this new and exciting land, then delve into the captivating journey below!

Our journey kicked off with a flight at 1:30 a.m. to Dubai. After a 5-hour layover, we flew straight to Nairobi (the capital of Kenya). Arriving at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, the weather was pleasantly cool and comfortable. For those unaware, Kenya experiences all four seasons like Dalat. So, it's wise to bring a jacket and pack versatile clothing for quick changes when it gets hot.

The road from the airport to the hotel was quite rough, with some very bumpy sections, leaving us all genuinely exhausted upon arrival. However, waking up the next morning brought a steadily growing sense of excitement. Just opening the window to look out at the grassland, you'll spot giraffes and zebras running around the hotel grounds!
On the first morning, the whole group boarded a vehicle to Lake Naivasha – a freshwater lake nestled in Kenya's Rift Valley, covering an area of 250km2 with a depth of approximately 15m. This is a haven for hippos, rhinos, and around 350 bird species nesting along the lake's shores. You'll be thrilled to see many hippos gathering in the lake. However, remember to maintain absolute silence when approaching hippos, as any noise might provoke them.

Maasai Mara is home to the world's most diverse wildlife. This reserve is globally renowned for its significant population of Masai lions (also known as East African lions), African cheetahs, and Tanzanian leopards. Particularly, here you'll witness the spectacle of wildebeest, Thomson's gazelles, or topi migrating to and from the Serengeti grasslands. This is precisely why we chose Kenya. The sight of the animal migration is truly impressive. Moreover, the experience of patiently waiting all day just to capture the migration scene is quite extraordinary.

In the following days, we continued our journey by Land Cruiser to Aberdare. Originally, this was the private estate of a British couple who decided to spend the rest of their lives in Kenya. Half a century later, their private home has become a grand hotel with historical significance but still retains the serene tranquility of the previous century, with architecture reminiscent of England.

Our final stop was on Lamu Island. Learning about Lamu, I discovered that it is the oldest continuously inhabited town in Kenya, situated on the East African coast, near the Somalia border. It's a place with a somewhat mysterious and enchanting history, with winding stone streets dating back to ancient times.

The architecture of Lamu is relatively classical, influenced by Europe, Arabia, and India. The pathways on the island are narrow, and modern means of transportation are scarce. Here, donkeys are used as heavy-duty transport. It seems that's why the hustle and bustle of urban life can't penetrate this place.

Here's a quick tip on attire for those planning Instagram-worthy group photos: opt for matching outfits to elevate the group's style in photos.

After hearing Hà Linh's stories, are you ready to embark on a journey to Kenya? If you're unsure where to travel this summer, consider this African nation. Rest assured, you'll gather a basketful of exciting experiences.
