At the CES 2022 technology exhibition, ASUS unveiled a completely new lineup of Zenbook products for 2022. All the models introduced feature cutting-edge technology, accompanied by unique ASUS features, and of course, all carry the Zenbook DNA with elegant and luxurious designs.
The highlight of the lineup is the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702), a laptop equipped with a 17.3-inch OLED screen that can be folded. Next is the Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition (UX5401ZAS), a laptop commemorating the 25th anniversary of ASUS's first laptop being sent into space.
Zenbook Classic 2022Additionally, ASUS brings the Zenbook Classic lineup with many changes in both appearance and configuration: Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3402/UM3402) is slim and light with a 14-inch OLED screen, powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 Series or Intel Core 12th generation processors.
ZenBook 17 Fold OLED
The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED features a 17.3-inch OLED screen with folding capability. The screen has a 4:3 aspect ratio, 2.5K resolution, supports touch, and can be used with a wireless keyboard that comes with the laptop, or as two 12.5-inch screens, seamlessly in a 3:2 aspect ratio. When completely folded, it becomes an extremely compact device with a 12.5-inch screen, smaller than an A4 sheet of paper.
In addition to its unique design, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED also has special features thanks to the use of artificial intelligence, such as detecting the presence of users through infrared cameras, sensors to adjust screen brightness and color temperature according to the environment, a 5 MP webcam with 3DNR technology to reduce noise for clearer video calls.
The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED promises high performance thanks to the 12th generation Intel Core processor, Iris Xe graphics, 16 GB of RAM, and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a 75 Whrs battery, Thunderbolt 4 high-speed connectivity, and compliance with the Intel EVO standard for thin and light laptops.
The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED will soon be available in the market in the second quarter of this year.
Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition
25 years ago, the ASUS P6300 laptop completed a mission lasting over 600 days on the Mir space station. This mission was not easy as the Mir station faced power outages and fires. The Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition is a laptop to commemorate this special event.
The entire machine is designed with inspiration from aerospace technology with a Zero-G Titanium color scheme. ASUS also designed a screen called ZenVision, a 3.5-inch display on the machine cover to display notifications or user-selected content.
Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition boasts durability to the SMC-S-016A standard of the United States Space Command.
The machine is equipped with a 12th generation Intel Core i9 High Performance processor, Iris Xe graphics, 32 GB RAM, and PCIe 4.0 standard SSD. The machine's screen is a 14-inch OLED technology screen, with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2.9K resolution, HDR 500 certification, and PANTONE Validated.
Zenbook Classic 2022
Zenbook 14 OLED is a slim and light 14-inch laptop, equipped with Intel Core i7 (P-Series) 12th generation (UX3402) or AMD Ryzen 5000 Series (UM3402) processors, a 2.8K resolution OLED screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Atmos audio promising an impressive audiovisual experience.
The difference in the appearance of the machine can be immediately noticed due to the new machine cover design inspired by traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Zenbook 14 OLED will come in 3 color options: Aqua Celadon, Ponder Blue, or Jade Black.
