Recent leaks and rumors suggest that ASUS is gearing up to launch the ROG Phone 8 series, including the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro. The lineup is scheduled to debut on January 16th in China.
Numerous images and technical specifications of these two devices have already been circulated online. Recently, a source shared high-resolution images of the ROG Phone 8 Pro.
ROG Phone 8 Pro Features a Flat-Screen DesignThe ROG Phone 8 Pro is expected to have a design similar to the ROG Phone 8, with minor differences. Windows Report unveiled render images of the ROG Phone 8, depicting a square design with slightly rounded corners, a new camera cluster consisting of three sensors on the back with colorful RGB lights. The ROG Phone 8 Pro will feature a different LED system, not the multi-color type, but rather special programmable LED points, similar to those on ASUS's higher-end devices.
The ROG Phone 8 Pro boasts a flat-screen design with a centrally placed selfie camera and ultra-thin bezels. The device will have power and volume buttons on the right side, while the USB Type-C port will be on the left side. Additionally, at the bottom of the device, there will be another USB Type-C port, SIM tray, headphone jack, and external speaker.
Previous leaks suggest that the ROG Phone 8 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10, and LTPO technology.
In terms of specifications, the device will utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. Upon release, the phone will come pre-installed with the ROG UI user interface on the Android 14 operating system.
