ASUS ROG Phone 8 Series set to launch on January 16 next year

Today, the Taiwanese company has just confirmed they will unveil the successors to the ROG Phone 7 on January 16, 2024.

The announcement didn't reveal any new details about the ROG Phone 8 series, but it confirmed that the launch event will commence at 7:30 PM (GMT +8).

According to previous leaks, the ROG Phone 8 series will feature a square camera module, chamfered on the right edge.

All three models of ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro, and ROG Phone 8 Ultimate have appeared on Geekbench, unveiling some interesting details. The Geekbench listing shows the standard model with 16GB RAM, while the Pro and Ultimate models feature 24GB RAM. Additionally, the ROG Phone 8 seems to come with the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro and Ultimate models have an overclocked chip variant, with slightly increased maximum clock speeds.

Although the global launch date has not yet been confirmed, ASUS ROG will host an event on January 8, a day before CES 2024, to unveil 'exciting new ROG products for 2024.' It is speculated that the brand may unveil the ROG Phone 8 at this event.
