High-End Gaming Laptop ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 Officially LaunchedAt CES 2023, ASUS has just unveiled the pair of premium gaming laptops ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 2023 with 16-inch and 18-inch displays, equipped with 13th Gen Core i9 CPU and RTX 4090 graphics card.
According to Gizmochina, ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 feature a design similar to their predecessors, including customizable front light bar, chiclet keyboard with multi-color RGB LED support on each key, and customizable Armor Cap accessories.
ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 boasts a screen-to-body ratio of up to 90%ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 (G634) and SCAR 18 (G834) are equipped with 16-inch and 18-inch Mini-LED displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Both screens feature QHD+ resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels), a 240 Hz refresh rate, and a 3 ms response time.
Moreover, the Mini-LED displays of the new ASUS ROG Strix SCAR duo also cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, with a maximum brightness of 1,100 nits, compatibility with G-SYNC and Dolby Vision, and Pantone color certification.
ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 boasts a screen-to-body ratio of up to 89%ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 accompany Intel Core i9-13980HX CPU paired with GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card for laptops, Nvidia Advanced Optimus, and TGP up to 175 W. ASUS has also utilized MUX Switch on both laptop models to ensure users can utilize the full power of the available GPU.
In addition to the combination of Core i9-13980HX CPU and RTX 4090 GPU which provide excellent cooling, ASUS has integrated advanced cooling system for ROG Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 as well as three fans to control temperature even during prolonged sessions of high-graphic gaming.
Cooling System on ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 2023Notable hardware specifications of ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 include a maximum 4 TB SSD Raid 0 PCIe 4.0 (2 TB + 2 TB) and DDR5 RAM clocked at 4,800 MHz up to 64 GB.
Both ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 support Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and feature integrated 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port if you prefer wired connection over Wi-Fi.
ROG Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 feature two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, one Thunderbolt 4 port, one HDMI 2.1 port, 3.5 mm audio jack, DC-in port, as well as DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery 3.0.
