On 02/08/2022, ASUS officially introduced to Vietnamese consumers two new representatives of the mid-range product line, the Vivobook 14X and Vivobook 15X. This is seen as a new breeze for young customers, as both machines have significant upgrades in both performance and display, promising to bring an exciting experience at an accessible price.

Present at the event, ASUS representatives stated that Vivobook is one of the leading product lines contributing to ASUS's success, leading the laptop market in Vietnam. That's also the reason why ASUS always focuses on this product line, with strong upgrades through each generation, aiming to provide a unique experience to meet the needs of the GenZ generation.

Overall, Vivobook 14X/15X remains unchanged from its predecessors. Still featuring a slim and lightweight design, with minimal details for a modern and premium look. The machine's A side is still made of matte-finished metal, not only fingerprint-resistant but also adding to its rugged and dynamic appearance.

One of the main upgrades of Vivobook 14X/15X lies in the fact that both machines are equipped with the latest generation OLED screens. Specifically, the screen on the Vivobook 14X has a size of 14 inches with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of up to 2.8K (2880 x 1800).

Still utilizing NanoEdge design for thin bezels, this display boasts brightness up to 600 nits along with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, promising fast 0.2s response time and 90Hz refresh rate for superior image experience in its segment.

However, the Vivobook 15X is equipped with a 15.6-inch OLED display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and only FHD resolution. Yet, such configuration can be considered quite 'sufficient' for regular usage. This display also offers a 0.2s response time but with a 60Hz refresh rate. Additionally, both models have versions using LCD screens, providing users with more options to suit their needs.

The next highlight of the Vivobook 14X/15X is the significant performance upgrade with the use of the Core i5-12500H processor. This is a new 12th generation processor belonging to the H-Series lineup, focusing on performance with a 45W TDP.

Furthermore, both models also have versions using AMD processors for those who are fans of this manufacturer. Specifically, there will be two Ryzen processors, the Ryzen 5 5600H and Ryzen 7 5800H integrated into both Vivobook 14X/15X models depending on the configuration. All Vivobook 14X/15X models use 8GB DDR4 RAM along with two storage options of 256GB and 512GB.

Alongside this, the Vivobook 14X/15X is equipped with a 70WHrs battery, nearly double the capacity compared to the previous generation. Accompanying this is a 90W power adapter ensuring quick and easy charging.

Moreover, both machines are equipped with hinges that can expand up to 180 degrees, allowing for more flexible usage. Along with that are small upgrades such as fingerprint sensors, physical webcam covers to enhance security. Wifi 6 and a series of standard connection ports are still present on both versions.

The Vivobook 14X will have a starting price for the lowest version using the Core i3-1220P with a 14-inch LCD screen and 256GB SSD at: $653.
