- 3 green chilies
Marinade Spices:
- 115 grams of pear
- 60 grams of onion
- 4 cloves of minced garlic
- A bit of finely chopped ginger
- 1 stalk of finely chopped scallion
- 15ml soy sauce
- 15g white sugar and 30g brown sugar
- A pinch of ground black pepper
- 10ml sesame oil
- 45g spicy chili paste
Dipping Sauce:
- 60g soybean paste
- 15g chili paste
- 1 stalk of finely chopped scallion
- 1 clove of minced garlic
- 60g finely chopped shallot
- 10ml honey
- 10ml sesame oil
- 10g toasted sesame seeds
How to Make Korean-style Grilled Pork Belly:
Wash lettuce and watercress thoroughly and drain them.
Peel garlic and slice thinly.
Slice the green chilies after washing them.

Clean the pork belly and slice it thinly for easy consumption.

Place the pork in a large bowl. Grind the onions and add them to the bowl of pork.

Next, add all remaining ingredients to the pork bowl, except for the toasted sesame seeds.

Mix the meat thoroughly with the spices, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Place the meat on a grill over charcoal until it turns evenly golden brown, then transfer it to a plate. Sprinkle with some toasted sesame seeds.

Finally, for the dipping sauce, simply mix all the prepared ingredients together.

Arrange the grilled pork belly on a plate, accompanied by watercress, lettuce, garlic, green chilies, etc.

Take a lettuce leaf, place a piece of grilled pork belly, add a slice of chili and a slice of thinly sliced garlic, then roll it up, dip it in the sauce, and enjoy. You'll experience the spiciness of the green chili, the pungency of the raw garlic blending with the savory grilled pork belly, and the refreshing taste of the lettuce, making the dish absolutely delightful.
