Clearing browsing history and cookies helps erase all traces of your online activities across Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and more. For added convenience, you can set up automatic cookie removal upon closing the web browser with the following steps.
Guide to Setting up Automatic Cookie Removal Upon Closing the Web Browser
For Firefox Browser
- From the menu, go to Tools --> Options. In the displayed window, switch to the Privacy tab.
Under the History section, select Use custom settings for history. Then, under Keep until, choose I close Firefox or check Clear history when Firefox closes. Finally, click OK to save the settings.
For Google Chrome Browser
- Click on the icon below and select Settings
- In the displayed window, choose Show advanced settings....
- Navigate to the Privacy section and click on Content settings
- In the displayed window, check the box Keep local data only until you quit your browser. Finally, click Done to save the settings
For Internet Explorer Browser
- Click on Tools in the menu and select Internet Options
- Switch to the General tab and check the box Delete browser history on exit. Finally, click OK to complete
