Follow the steps below to set up automatic deletion of Windows 10 Recycle Bin files after 30 days.
Important Note:
When activating this feature, be aware that deleted Recycle Bin files cannot be recovered, even when using third-party applications.
Step 1: Open the Settings app. Then, navigate to and select System => Storage.
Step 2: Under Storage sense section, activate Storage sense feature. Then click on the link Change how we free up space.
Step 3: On the Change how we free up space window, enable the option Delete files that have been in the recycle bin for over 30 days to turn on the automatic deletion of Windows 10 Recycle Bin files after 30 days.
From now on, your computer will automatically delete Windows 10 Recycle Bin files after 30 days. Additionally, you can enable or disable the option Delete temporary files that my apps aren’t using, and the option Delete files in my Downloads folder that haven’t changed for over 30 days.
