Guide to Virus Elimination, Protect Your Computer with AVG AntiVirus Free
Step 1: Download and install AVG AntiVirus Free on your computer.

Step 2: Proceed with the installation: Simply follow the provided instructions. And here is the interface of the antivirus software.
Install the program (Refer to how to Install AVG).
Step 3: Conduct a scan of any drive or folder on your computer by clicking Scan now on the interface.
Choose, and a Scan Options window will appear.
In this section:
- Manage scheduled scans: Choose a specific schedule for virus scanning.
- Scan whole computer: Scan viruses for all data on the computer.
To scan a folder, choose Scan specific files or folders --> a table Scan Specific Files or Folders – Settings will appear --> then click Next to proceed:
A table Scan specific files or folders will appear, choose the folder you want to scan --> click Start Scan to begin the virus scan.
The scanning process will be carried out:
Wait for the scanning software to finish, and there will be specific notifications.
For scanning both the computer and any specific file, instead of choosing Scan selected folder in the Options section, use Scan computer and Scan file. The steps for selection and scanning remain the same.
